COMPANY X Then and Now

This following is a piece by me which won me a 512 MB Thumbdrive.

Disclaimer: This article might contain too much truth and personal bias view (yet logical with good analysis), not for the weak hearted and close-minded.

COMPANY X is suffering from middle age identify crisis. She started off with solid ground as System Integrator, which helps her boomed and flourish in the early days. As she grows stronger and wiser, she aims to become a Software House, creating her own arsenal of products to compete fiercely in the increasing saturated marketplace and to have a stronger foothold. While making the transition, she suffers from anxiety, as there is quite a shift of culture and mindset. She is lost, as she cannot decide firmly what stronghold to conquer, thus become Jill of all trade and master of none. Then came the bad weather, and sickness kicks in due to the many years of bad healthcare. She was caught within the storm where she is far away from home, but nowhere near her destination. She don’t want to dash in the rain as she was afraid of falling down, but neither does she want to go home as she don’t want to waste her effort. She had become weaker as she stays stagnant in the rain for too long, waiting for miracle to happen. Finally she caught flu and could no longer move forward, thus trying to get help from by passer. She wanted to piggy back on a successful product and become a 3rd party product vendor, giving up her forte and uniqueness and competitiveness, and fighting for spaces in the same bus with a whole bunch of people during peak hours. Had she grown stronger and wiser? Or had she walked backwards without realizing the destination of these busses. Destiny is no longer in her hand, as she is now a passenger and not a driver. I pray she get on the right bus and someday might get back her own bus that she mortgaged today. I hope one day she will manage to cross the chasm and own a bus company instead.
